Rough Road Ahead
So I'm starting to get a little down. I have interviewed at several different schools along with about 20 other Social Studies teachers and haven't had any success. I keep hoping that a school will call with some good news and all my worries will fade away. Kasala seems to stay positive with all my stress and says that if I was meant to work then something will come up and that I shouldn't worry. I know he's right but I can't help but think about what could happen.
Besides the job woes everything else is great! Our neighbors above us are moving and they sent out flyers for a "yard" sale inside their house. We finally got a microwave and a hand mixer for about $10. Kasala bought a bunch of other things that we may, or may not, have needed. The only thing our apartment is missing is pictures of our family and friends hanging on the wall so that's our next house project.
The weather outside is starting to get brutal. It's so hot during the day and there are no tradewinds. When there is wind it just hot air blowing around so it doesn't really help. Terina is so lucky that she has a loving Grandfather who thinks the world of her. She has been sitting in front of the fridge playing with her toys and when Dad found out... he sent us to buy an air conditioner. So now we have a nice cool home and she can play where ever she wants. We make sure that she still spends a couple hours playing outside with the other kids throughout the day so that she's not a loner. She's making friends fast and she's starting to take some risks at the playground... like actually going down the slide. :) She's so silly. We haven't taken any pictures lately but when we do I'll be sure to update.
Well... we still miss everyone at home and think about everyone every day.
