48 Hours Mystery
I remember being in middle school when my parents told me that they were going to adopt a little girl from Samoa. I of course was really excited. I had always wanted a sister and I know my mom always wanted another daughter. I remember my mom buying clothes and things to for this new little baby that was suppose to come and be part of our family. I was only in the 7th or 8th grade but I remember how excited I was to finally have a sister.
I don't know what happened. I don't know the details of what was going on over in Samoa or who they were working with the adopt this little girl. All I knew was that I was going to have a sister and a while later... I wasn't. I remember how sad my mom was. I remember her crying as she told me that things just didn't work out. And that was it.
One of Kasala's friends posted this video on his facebook page. It's from last nights episode of 48 Hours Mystery. The episode tells about an adoption agency in Utah who has a center in Samoa. It gives Americans wanting to adopt a chance to adopt Samoan children who are "orphans". It's a really good episode and I couldn't help but cry. Kasala was so upset after watching this. He can't believe that people back home actually did this. He even remembers seeing the guy who lived in Samoa around in the clubs that he worked at.
The story is heart breaking and you feel for both families that are involved. If you have an extra 42 minutes you should watch it. It's a really good story.
