We're Being Punished
Today was a beautiful day. I cleaned the windows and the kitchen. Terina played outside with her friends and as a reward for helping me clean the windows we were going to PCC. My friend Maren and her kids were going to go with us too so that was going to be even more fun! The kids wanted to fish, get a tattoo, and go on a canoe ride. Maren's annual pass expired and they weren't on sale but we still were going to go. So I got our tickets and when we got to the gate we just told the girl that we were going to grab something from one of the villages real quick. So we went in, did some fishing, got a tattoo and went to wait for a canoe ride. We got on the canoe, started out and then it started raining. I put Sala's camera into the bag and then it started to pour! Our canoe stopped under a bridge and we were going to wait for the rain to stop. We waited, and waited. The workers in the Fijian village came with ponchos and started to sell them for $3.00! I bought one and wrapped the bag in it so the camera wouldn't get hurt. Terina was crying for a poncho and I refused to buy one for her. About 15 minutes of waiting under the bridge the rain was still coming down super hard but by that time a tour guide had come and gave everyone a poncho so our boat left to finish. By the time we got to the landing, the canoe was filling up with water and I was soaked.... I didn't take a poncho. I was already wet and I didn't really care.
Anyways, we had a lot of fun despite the weather. And the camera was safe. It better have been... I spent 3 bucks on a stupid poncho!!
But I guess that was our punishment for sneaking Maren into PCC.... Sorry Maren and sorry PCC. I'll never sneak anyone in ever again.
