IHOP No More

Today Terina and I left the house early and drove 40 minutes to have a nice breakfast together. It was her treat for staying home from school today and going with my to do my running around and go to the doctors. She chose to go to IHOP which was fine with me. I always am in the mood for some good pancakes. So Terina and I were seated, ordered our food and then played some Tic-Tac-Toe to pass the time. Our food came out fast and I was super excited to dive into my food. After about 10 minutes of eating I had only ate my pancakes and started to cut my chicken fried steak when Terina informed me she had to use the bathroom. So.... I put my purse, keys and phone on the seat of our table, looked at the bus boy as we were walking to the bathroom and motioned that we would be right back. When we came back out from the bathroom (all of 4 minutes later due to having to wait in line for a toilet) our food was gone! The dude had bussed our table and took our hardly eaten food away. Terina was a little upset and I was just mad. I was so looking forward to eating that chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns!! Of course he apologized and said that the waitress would make us new food but I only had 20 minutes before my doctors appointment and had to drive there still. So I refused new food and the waitress STILL handed me a check!! I calmly asked for a manager and said I would not pay for food that I didn't get to enjoy. As disappointed I was for not getting to eat my chicken fried steak I did get 2 pancakes for free and Terina got to eat about 8 bites of her pancake. So.... never again will I hop into IHOP in Hawaii........
