Terina's birthday has come... and hopefully will go away. She has the birthday that just won't end!
***Pictures to come... as soon as I can get them off the camera***
Mom got here on Wednesday April 28th and the excitement just never ended. Terina had her Tehamata performance on Thursday and did a wonderful job. I was so proud of her. She loves dancing and I'll continue to put her in dance classes until she doesn't want to do it anymore. She's getting ready for her May Day performance at the end of the month. The Fabulous Frogs are doing dances from New Zealand. They're doing a Haka, Poi Balls and a stick dance. She's having so much fun learning all these different dances.
Friday was a busy day of shopping. I was sick that day and was struggling to survive all the driving and stores. I did however get a new skirt, ON SALE, that I had been wanting for a while so shopping through it wasn't too bad. We made it home in time for Terina to take a nap and for me to clean up my room. We were going to pick up my Dad later Friday night but needed to make sure the room was "dust free" so I didn't have to hear my Dad tell me how dusty my house was. :) Eventually we made it to the airport and Terina found Grandpa in no time. Of course Grandpa had presents for Terina that he got from the airport so as they went through the bag I went and found luggage.
We made it home Friday night around 11pm. I was dead tired so the "ladies" went off to bed and Sala and Dad stayed up playing Halo. Saturday we had planned a small BBQ for Terina with a couple of her friends. She went on a horse ride before going to the beach and had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa. Apparently she was talking to the horse guide non stop! Dad thought it was pretty funny . The BBQ turned out good. Just a few of our friends and a lot of food.
Sunday we went to the swap meet. We went to the swap meet and bought..... 5 umbrellas. It was pouring rain the whole time! We did manage to get what we were looking for. Mom got some things for the little girls, some shirts for Anthony and of course things for her. Dad and Sala got a few things too and Terina walked away in a new dress. She was soaked from all the rain and needed something dry to wear.
Early Monday morning Kasala and I took Dad to the airport. I was so happy that he was able to come and spend some time with us. I know that Terina misses him and talking on the phone just isn't the same sometimes.
The rest of the time Mom was here was busy busy busy. We took cupcakes to Rainbow School on Monday for Terina's birthday and the went and got pedicures. She had a blast doing that! We went to lunch at Ferrells in the mall, and went a couple other places. Tuesday was more shopping in town, we ordered leis to send home for Mothers Day and went to the International Market. Mom found some real cute bracelets for all the girls and then it was back home to clean and pack.
Having Mom and Dad here was great. I love my family and miss them so much. I know Sala misses his family to. I wish we were able to see them more often. We are planning for next summer to go over there and spend some time with his family. I am so grateful for such wonderful parents who made the trip out here just to watch my beastly daughter turn 4.
Thanks for making Terina's 4th birthday so memorable Mom and Dad!
