We were able to spend New Years Eve at home with the family. Kasala has been wanting to BBQ since the day we got here and I figured that New Years Eve would be a great time to do it. Mom and I had been out shopping so when we pulled down our street we could see the smoke from the grill coming out of the back yard. It smelled so good!! He cooked so much food too, I wasn't sure how we were going to eat all the food.
We were planning on just staying home that night with our family and have a really low key night. Jared had invited some friends over and we ended up playing a really sucky card game. I was no good at it and always lost but it was still fun. Terina had Malachi and Boston to play with so they pretty much ran around and watched movies. I love spending time with Alisha and Johnson. They are great friends. Johnson and Kasala hit it off when they first moved into my parents ward. I was so grateful for that too. I think it was the video games that brought them together. But whatever it was... we love them and are grateful for their friendship.
We rang in the New Year and pretty soon were ready to crash. This New Year has hopefully has a lot in store for us. It's a long way off but Kasala will be graduating from school in December, Terina will be turning 4 and me.... well, that's to be determined. We have our goals and we are working towards them. We've had a great start and hopefully we can keep up the momentum.
Here's to what 2010 has in store!!
