Hurricane Felecia

Because we haven't had any of the local news channels since BYUH decided to switch cable companies I was very unaware that there was a hurricane gunning for Hawaii until Thursday night at Enrichment. Thankfully Hurricane Felecia has been down grading each day from a CAT 3 Thursday to today which is only a CAT 1. Most likely we'll have a tropical storm here by Sunday or Monday. (Hopefully not Monday because that's the only day I actually have a job and the $160.00 would be really useful) In the past couple days I've received various emails about making sure you family is prepared and having adequate food and water. I'm not to worried about Kasala or myself but Terina... I don't know. So this afternoon Terina and I went to the store to get a few supplies if you will. Mom gave me a list of things that she had in her small 72 hour kits and I went out and got some of it. Fruit snacks, granola bars, nutrigran bars, some cheese and crackers and some peanut butter crackers. I also got some canned tuna and beans along with a sack of rice and case of water. I think we even have some Slimfast shakes in the fridge. We also have some things in the house that we can use. We are fortunate enough to be in one of the few buildings that has gas so if something did happen where the power went out we'd be able to have a warm meal. I know we aren't as prepared as the church says we should be but for some reason I'm not that worried about it. We have been able to make due in the past and I'm sure we'll be alright this time. Kasala and I can go on little food but it's Terina that I worry about. This girl can eat! If something happens and I have to ration her food she's gonna get mad!! I guess that's when we just give her ours and we go hungry. I've been checking the cnn.com and weather.com ,because once again... the cable isn't working, and it looks like we're going to be alright. I guess we'll just keep praying that nothing serious happens and that the power stays on this weekend and coming week.
