I'm Thankful For....
This last month I've tried to think of things that I'm thankful for. Sometimes I get down because I feel as if we don't have things that I think we need and in reality we probably don't need them anyways. So I tried to keep track of something each day that stood out to me or something that I may have taken for granted. Well... here's my list for April. Hopefully I'll be able to keep doing this so that it will be a constant reminder of all the blessings Heavenly Father has given to us.
4/30: I'm thankful for a running partner who doesn't call me fat, or tells me that I'm slow. I know those things but I'm trying hard to keep up with her. Makena is a great friend and I really love her. She gives me the support I need to try and make myself better.
4/29: I'm thankful for Terina and her innocence. She is so small and pure. When she says her prayers by herself she is so thankful for everything and blesses everyone from her family to the cat she saw outside. She is just amazing to me.
4/28: Again... I'm so thankful for Kasala. He's been taking care of both me and Terina today because we're both real sick. Good think he doesn't have classes on Tuesday but I have a feeling I'm going to have to help him with his English paper.
4/27: I'm thankful that when I need to stay home from work I can. I guess it does pay to only be a substitute teacher instead of a full time teacher.
4/26: I'm thankful for Priesthood blessings and that I have a husband who is worthy to give a blessing in times of need.
4/25: Medicine that can take pain away and make people more comforted when they are sick or in pain.
4/24: Friends who are always willing to help when you're in a tight, unexpected situation. Ex: you're at work, husband is at school, Rainbow school calls for you to come pick up your sick child. Neighbor steps in and saves the day by watching her until husband gets home. This has happened more than once. I love my neighbors.
4/23: Kasala and his patients with me. I was really grumpy with him tonight for some reason and he just came and gave me a hug and kiss and told me he was sorry for whatever he did and he loved me. I wasn't grumpy anymore.
4/22: Being able to stay home and clean the house. It seems like when it's really bad is when I don't have a job for the day and I can stay home and clean.
4/21: The rain. It rained a lot the last couple days and even though we can't go play outside it makes me think of Washington.
4/20: For aloe and the cooling sensation that it gives to a sun burned body. And for a husband who will help his sun burned wife get dressed in the morning when she can't put her clothes on.
4/19: I'm really thankful for nursery and for the fact that I can just "throw" Terina in there for 2 hours and know that they won't bring her to me unless she pees her pants or is bleeding.
4/18: It's another beautiful day. I'm thankful for such the wonderful weather we're having and for all the time we can spend outside. I'm sure once June comes I'm not going to be saying that :) 4/17: I'm so happy that Kasala made it home in one piece and that he actually CAME home. I can see his love for his parents in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He misses them already.
4/16: Being able to go for a quiet drive and just sit and watch the ocean. It's absolutely beautiful.
4/15: That I actually am working today. As long as I can work at least 5 days every 2 weeks we're ok.
4/14: Makena and Tanaya. Despite the mini meltdowns by both the girls, I think we have fun together and I love spending time with them. They are great friends.
4/13: I'm thankful for Rainbow School. Terina didn't want to go this morning and I thought I was going to kill myself. Rainbow School is good for the both of us.
4/12: Being that it's Easter, I'm thankful for the Atoinment. I'm thankful for it everyday but today I've tried a little harder to think of all the things I have been forgiven for and give gratitude to Jesus Christ for giving his life so I can be forgiven
4/11: My friends out here in Laie. They are wonderful, fun to hang out with, thoughtful and caring. The more time I spend with them the more I enjoy being so far away from home.
4/10: The Internet... it's been keeping me busy while Kasala is going and we've been able to talk to him through Skype since his cell phone doesn't work.
4/9: I'm thankful for multiple washers and dryers in the laundry room. As much as I hate doing laundry I was able to wash, dry and fold 8 loads this morning in 2 hours.
4/8: I'm thankful for Fletcher's Laxative for kids. Terina finally pooped about 11:20pm for the first time in 4 days.
4/7: Having a job. It may not be a great one and I may not work everyday but it helps pay the bills and I love teaching and being in the classroom. I'm thankful that I have the chance to work out here and to meet new people and work with some really great kids. Although I don't have a job for tomorrow.....
4/6: HOT SHOWERS! For some reason the water just never got hot this morning and I got out shivering. It did wake me up though for work but I'm really glad to have a hot shower now that I had to take a cold one.
4/5: I'm thankful that we were able to stay home and watch conference. I know if we had to go somewhere else to watch it we probably wouldn't have gone.
4/4: Kasala and Terina. Even though they drive me insane sometimes without them I'd be a pretty sad lady. I love them with all my heart
