Welcome to the Jungle

The whole time Kasala was gone to Samoa Terina would tell people her daddy was in the jungle. And after seeing some pictures I am leaning more towards the fact that she may have been right. Kasala was in the jungle. So over the next couple weeks I'm going to post some pictures of Kasala's trip home and write about what he's told me. So here we go.....
Kasala's family lives up in the mountains. They live on a huge piece of land that they have always taken care of. It's really pretty. Could I live there... I'm not so sure. Would Terina like it there... Probably.
The picture on the right is Kasala's dad, Arthur. And that's more of the back yard. Now it's starting to look more like a jungle. Terina has been looking at these pictures since Kasala came home and she keeps asking when she will get to see her grandma and grandpa in the jungle. I'm happy she wants to go and see them. Hopefully we will be able to go as a family there soon.
Kasala's sister Becca and her family live with his parents. His mom, Emi, is holding his niece, who is also named Emi, and his two little nephews are standing there too, Glen and Taape. He was so happy to see his family and when I was talking to him I would get off the phone and wonder if he was going to make it home. I knew he would but I could also hear how much he misses his family in his voice. He seems like a different person since he's come back. We have so much stuff here and I don't think we realize how much of it we don't actually need. He has been spoiled for the last 5 years and when he went home I think he was grounded again and he has helped me realize that no matter how much I hate TVA or how much I think I need something, I really don't. This is a good thing! I've realized that we buy things because we can, even if we don't need it. We have the money, sometimes we don't have the money, and we spend,
spend, spend. Now we're rethinking, budgeting, and saving. So I think this last picture is of where the kitchen is. And I think that chicken was dinner but I'm not really sure so don't quote me on that :) Kasala was telling me about when he was in grade school and helping his dad build this. He has a lot of stories about growing up in Samoa. Most of them are funny, some of them I pretend I'm listening to when I'm really not, and some of them just make me cry. It's nice to see when my husband is from and helped make him into the person he is today. I love him, I appreciate him, and I am thankful for him and everything he does for us and for his parents back home.

Cute! It's always great to visit your 'roots' lol I know when Tim goes home to that nice big, clean house and big pool and an overflowing pantry he's always "grounded" when he gets back here to our house hahahahhahaha
