Today we drove with Peta and her kids to Sauniatu. Its a piece of church property that was purchased a long time ago for the members on the island. It was beautiful. There was about 800 acers of land and it was all lush and green. You could tell that the area belonged to the church. It was very well maintained. The village looked like a mini Laie. The houses reminded me of TVA the way they were built. I was super jealous of those who are living there because they had a laundry room....A washer.... just sitting there for their use. I should of brought our laundry with us.
The village has this beautiful river that flows behind the church building. There was a swimming area that we could walk down to and a beautiful waterfall. You could walk all the way down to the waterfall too but we didn't with the kids. The village was very nice though... You could tell that it was a blessed place. The spirit was very strong there.
I thought we were going to be driving more around the island but Kasala went back home after visiting Sauniatu. I guess he wanted to help get things done around the house for tomorrow. We are going to be starting the mini family reunion tomorrow at the house with a family meeting and dinner. It'll be the first time in about 8 years that Kasala and his brother and sisters are all together. I'm really glad that we were able to make this trip and that everyone else was able to come too. It really is a special time for him and his family
