The time has come. We spent the morning running around buying last minute shirts for the girls, ear rings and some other small things that Terina wanted to take home. We took our little rental back, got some ice cream and dropped off our laundry. Kasala went early this morning to pick up some Rugby jerseys for Dad.
This trip has been crazy. It was nothing like I thought it would be. I really did love it. It didn't all go as planned but when does a trip ever go as planned? I have a wonderful family here in Samoa. My sisters are just so caring and loving. They have the best heart and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and to make sure that my kids were comfortable. They welcomed me as their sister and treated me so well. They treated my girls with so much love and respect. Ala and his wife were also so wonderful and loving. They made the trip from New Zealand to meet me and the girls. They too showed nothing but love for the girls and myself.
I have some crazy nephews over here. I love them so much! They really do know how to keep someone on their toes. They are typical little Samoan boys. Glen reminds me of the fat guy from Laughing Samoans. He cracks me up. And Taape is so sneaky! He's trouble walking but he can make me laugh.Thomas and Afa were the oldest of the cousins and they did their best to help the kids share the video games and make sure everyone had a turn when they were playing games. The kids played and acted like they were never apart.... like they have known each other for years. Terina had so much fun with her cousins and she loves them so much. She is so sad that she has to leave and go back home.
I'm done packing. I've weighed all the bags and we should be alright. Nothing is over weight and everything fits. We have dinner still to eat then it'll be time to pack up and head to the airport. Here's to one more dinner in Samoa with my family.
