SAMOA.... Day 13

This evening started our little family reunion. We had dinner and a "family meeting" to get things started. It was nothing really big or fancy. I think we only talked for about 45 minutes. Each family talked a little about themselves mainly to introduce themselves to me. It was really nice that they spoke in english too. Most of the time they are speaking Samoan and I have no idea what is going on. Well... I understand about every 4th word and if I piece it all together I can usually figure out what is going on. And when I can't figure it out I just ask Kasala.

I was very touched that his brother and sisters were so happy and excited to meet the girls and I.They have done so much for us since we have been here and I so appriciate them and everything they have done for us. His sisters really are great and I am so lucky to have them. The kids were also happy to all be together. There are 7 grandkids with one more on the way. You could tell that Mama and Papa were also happy to have all their grandkids around them. They have been getting quite a bit of love.... and a little bit annoyed at times.

We didn't do much today after the family meeting/dinner. We mainly just hung out. Ala and his family spent the night outside in the house. Tomorrow we (and I really mean Kasala, Ala and his Dad) are planning on getting up early and doing some things around the yard to kind of clean up a bit. After that we are suppose to go to the Sliding Rock down by the river. I heard it wasn't that great if its been raining because then it's just all muddy and dirty but we'll see.
