I got up quite early with Manamea. I was hoping that she'd go back to bed so I could help do some work around the yard with everyone else but it didn't happen. We had breakfast as a family this morning after the guys were done working. They cleared out some trees from the front yard and burned a pile of yard waste. I told Kasala that our, meaning our little family, next project is to fix the freaking drive way. There is a huge pipe that runs in front of the entrance that you have to drive over. (Magiagi has a river at the top of the mountain. The river is 1 or 2 that supplies hydroelectricity for the whole island and when the super smart government tapped into the water supply they put this huge ugly pipe in front of the land that runs from the river down the mountain and then into a valley behind the village.) I'll have to make sure and take a picture of what we have to drive up every time we leave. If you're not careful and aligned just right the car will go off the road and crash on the pipe. So that's our next project. Figure out how to get a car safely and easily from the dirt road to the house.
We didn't end up going to the Sliding Rock today. Ala was saying that it might be too steep and muddy for all of the kids to hike down. Instead we went back to Piula. I finally got some pictures of Terina and Manamea in front of the sign so I'll be posting those soon.... Hopefully. After swimming it was back to the house for some dinner, movies and popcorn. The kids watched Smurfs and Mr.Poppers Pengins. I think they had a lot of fun being together. We were suppose to play games but the kids have been arguing a lot about whose turn is when and who is taking too long or cheating that we decided to just make a pass on games. They did play that Kenict for a while the other day. (And that's where the fighting started.) Terina was the lone survivor of the movie night. Everyone else fell asleep. We'll see how she acts in the morning. The plan for tomorrow is to go shopping and look at the flea market and fabric stores for either a new pulatasi or some materials to make a pulatasi. Maima bought Terina some really nice fabric and I'm going to be jealous of how nice she looks in hers.
Time is flying by fast and we're running out of time to do things. Hopefully we'll be able to do everything that we want to before it's time to head to the airport. I'd hate to be one of those who is trying to cram things into a vacation last minute. But then again our flight doesn't leave until 1:40am on Friday so I have tme..... I think..... I hope.
