Another Sunday without going to church. This time I have a legit excuse. All the shirts I wear under my dresses are dirty and because there was no water I couldn't wash them. The dress that I had set aside to wear to church, which was my FAVORITE DRESS EVER, had a mosquito coil dropped on it this morning and now I have 2 little holes burned into the front of the dress. First thing I'm doing when I get home is going to Burlington Coat Factory and seeing if they still have any of those dresses. It was so comfortable and I just LOVED it! It was my go to dress... I guess I should stop crying over a melted dress and just get over it.
Terina went to church today with the kids. Kasala, Manamea and I went through a drive in town. There was nothing open at all. I guess things open up later in the evening after everyone gets home from church and eats dinner. It was really just a relaxing Sunday. All the kids and I watched a movie inside the house while Kasala, his brother and sisters had a meeting with their parents. (There was no point in me being out there.. I had no idea what was being said and it was much more fun watching Alvin and the Chipmunks with the kids.)
After their little meeting we went for another drive in town. Manamea loves riding in the car. I think it's because she doesn't have to sit in a car seat. We stopped and got some Cokes and water and just drove through town. When we got home we Skyped with Mom and Dad for a while. The kids all came running in when they heard Terina talking to her Grandpa and they sat down in front of the computer just staring at Dad.
It was funny... the kids were asking him all these random questions and he just answered and laughed at them. Terina showed Grandpa the old school games that she was learning and showed him that she could speak Samoan. I'm really proud of her and how fast she has caught on to the language. Hopefully she doesn't forget what she is learning. She almost seems like she belongs here in Samoa....Makes me sad that we'll have to leave in a few days.......
Tomorrow we're going to go shopping for fabric so I can have a dress made. I'm also going to try and get the shopping done for everyone at home. Hopefully I can find something nice for Mom and Dad.....
