Conversations with Terina

Today was Terina/Mommy fun day. I'll get into that in a little while but as we were driving to town we passed the Valley of the Temples. It's a memorial park that has several different Buddhist Temples and things. I've never been in there (cause I think you have to pay) but we drive by a lot. We got stuck at the light today and I was looking at all the pretty flowers in the cemetery. Here's how that conversation went... more or less. Mom: Look at all the pretty flowers Terina. Terina: Are they for me? Oh thank you!! They're so beautiful! M: No Terina. I don't think those are for you. Those are for the people who have gone to see Heavenly Father and Jesus. T: Oh. Can I go see Father and Jesus? M: No. I don't think it's your turn yet. You have a lot to do before you go and see them. T: No mom. I'm ready to go see them. It's ok. I'm ready M: Well, I'm not ready for you to go and see them. It's not your turn. T: I see Jesus at the temple and he said I can go to his house. I'm going to Jesus' house tonight. He wants to play chalk. I almost started to cry when we were driving. I know she doesn't really understand the concept of death and I didn't really want to tell her that there were people buried in the ground under the flowers and that's who the flowers belonged to. But she's ready to go see Heavenly Father and Jesus. Hopefully her opportunity doesn't come anytime soon.

Do you know what I Love about that? She feels confidant about standing in front of her Heavenly Father and her Savior, Jesus Christ. I wish I could say the same. It is just one more reason why we are told to "be like a little child" Thank you Terina. I want to be better.
